The Christian Theological Thought In Mo Yan’s Works

Christian culture is full of "sin" culture, which can be seen everywhere in Mo Yan’s works. Ideas such as sin, suffering, repentance, salvation, redemption and dedication etc., which are full of strong color of "Christ", descripted a lot in Mo Yan’s wok, like "Red Sorghum", "Big Breasts and Wide Hips", "Frog", "Fatigue of Life and Death", "the Republic of Wine", "Sandalwood Notes".In October 11,2012, Mo Yan won the Nobel Prize for literature, became the first Chinese writer who received such award. Research on his works is gradually increasing, but there are few studies on the theological thoughts of his works. Some people think that it is not worth to study this topic on his work.This paper attempts to study the Christian idea in Mo Yan’s representative works such as "Red Sorghum", "big breasts and wide hips" and "frog". Deeply dig into the contents and the way Mo Yan descripted the stores, to study the spirits including the inspiration of primitive life, equality, fraternity, and sacrifice the salvation, consciousness of confession and redemption consciousness. Then to find out how to realize the combination of theological thought and folk reality and how to show theological thought behind the folk consciousness through writing.
