Facing the prevalence of human anxiety lonely spiritual crisis of Postmodern, being the most influential intellectuals novelist in the humanities, Haruki Murakami choose to assume his responsibility.He tries to somehow Monogatari rebuild the human spirit to answer the problem of their homes. Worked in documentary literature "underground", Aum Shinrikyo believers who Murakami considered to Tokyo subway sarin attack perpetrators typified by the from ordinary people becomes crazy and the main reasons is they lose their "inherent Monogatari " so that enter safe, comfortable closed Monogatari provided by the cult leader. He believes there is an important responsibility that the novelist should creative openness Monogatari compete with them at the same time.In the "1Q84" Murakami represent this theory through one bizarre and sophisticated Monogatari in order to practice and explore the development of the possibility of maximizing after the collapse of the grand narrative literature.Therefore, this thesis would take the method of text interpretation and relevant theoretical analysis to discourse Tengo Gawana,Masami Aomame and other related characters escaping enclosed Monogatari "Air pupa" and entering the exoteric Monogatari which is the symbol of openness "1Q84" created by Tengo through his creation of his own Monogatari to save himself and even human beings. This thesis is divided into three parts:Firstly, Introduction mainly describes the Murakami's achievements and at the same time introduces the domestic and international research on "1Q84"at home,in addition to sort out the concept of "Monogatari".The second part including three chapters.The first chapter introduces the symbol of Air pupa to enclosed "Monogatari". In the Monogatari of the World-1984 where humanity are up against universal dilemm.controlled by various systems. The reason of Murakami Orwell "1984" tribute is also be discussed in this section. Chapter two introduces the symbol of 1984 to openness "Monogatari" in the world of "1Q84" where Tengo creates his own Monogatari through his own effort to rewrite Masami Aomame and his own destiny. The special multilayer Images meaning this world will also be discussed. The third chapter is mainly about Tengo and Masami Aomame recovery their spiritual home and acquire a new lease of life. Finally, in the conclusion of this thesis definite the value of "1Q84" again, regardless stressed environment, changeable rules, the power of Monogatari will remain unchanged.
