As one of the key point in communication,address term in Korean language associated closely to the respect expressions and applied accordingly when the listener changes.These characters of the language are confusing and can be hardly mastered by learners from other language background.Korean pop culture is famous in China nowadays,and Korean TV stars turn out to be very popular especially for ladies.By analyzing address terms applied in one of the famous drama"My love from the stars",we expect differences of the appearance and characteristic of address terms between Korean and Chinese language will be clarified as the research progress.The paper was divided into 6 chapters as below:1st chapter:Brief introduction on the purpose,significance,method applied and source of material of the research.2nd chapter:Definition of the concepts of Korean address terms and Chinese address terms and the differences of it between both language and how we define it in our research,and Translation Theory of the paper.3rd chapter:Correspondence analysis on the address term of Chinese translated "My love from the stars",and statistic and itemizing on the correct translation.Kinship,fictive kinship,occupational,conventional,name,parody,pronoun"u ri"+address term,pronoun and address term for catching attention are the 8 types of address term which holds a higher appearance in the drama comparatively.4th chapter:Non-correspondence analysis on the address term of Chinese translated "My love from the stars" and itemizing on both incorrect and defect translation.5th chapter:Analysis on factors might cause incorrect or defect translation on address term in the drama "My love from the stars".The last chapter gives the conclusion.Address term is one of the salience characters of each language which closely associated with their cultural background.We expect said study will be able to contribute a reference for learners from both Korean and Chinese background to learn address term in their foreign language study better.
