The Research On The Literary Associations Of Yenching University

As a unique historical existence,the Chinese Christian universities' status and influence can not be ignored in the history of education and culture in China.With the passage of time,although they have sunk into the river of history,whether it is set in the school experience,discipline,or in talent cultivation and social influence have to be discovered and can be used for reference.Especially the literary associations that are setted up by the Chinese Christian universities in the process of running.On the one hand,these literary associations show the campus culture of the Chinese Christian universities.On the other hand,it is also the epitome of social life and culture.This paper selects the literary associations of Yenching University which was one of the Chinese Christian universities as the research object.Through the excavation and reconstruction of the historical materials,hackling and researching the aspects of the background,the general situation of development and the investigation of literary activities of more than 20 literary associations that were setted up in the history.To summarize the relationship between the literature associations and its main members and Chinese Modern Literature.And to research the significance and contribution of literary associations in the history of Chinese Modern Literature intensively.This paper is mainly divided into three parts:The first chapter is about the literary associations of Yenching University's background and development.The former is discussed from the historical background.The latter through time in stages,is systematically combed and shallowly explored each stage of the development of literary associations.Through the specific introduction of the school and the literature associations,the paper further explains the development of the literary associations of Yenching University.The second chapter is about the literary associations of Yenching University's literature activity investigation.Starting from the three aspects of the establishment of the journal,the theatrical performances and other activities,combined with the special background of the times,the paper makes a systematic study on the literary activities of literary associations.The third chapter is about the literary associations of Yenching University and Chinese Modern Literature.On the one hand,starting from the angle of participation in the construction of the mainstream literature,on the other hand,with the main members of literary societies,discusses the significance and influence of Yenching University literary associations,to further clarify the value of its existence.Lastly,attach all literary associations list of Yenching University and the list of works published in important Periodicals.
