Research On Inheritance And Development In First-tire Cities Of Guangdong Han Music

Guangdong Han music is one of the representative music settings in Hakka traditional music in northern Guangdong province.It was known as Guangdong's "three kinds of music" with Canton music and Chaozhou music.With the development of the Pearl River Delta region,a large number of Hakka immigrants move into cities.Guangdong Han music also was brought into cities.Cities are important places for immigrants to converge,with multi-ethnic,multi-religious and multi-cultural characteristics.Guangdong Han music had its special reasons for surviving and develop in first-tier cities where economic,cultural education and other areas are in rapid development,such as Guangzhou,Shenzhen.Investigate and study on them could sum up the experience for inheriting and developing traditional music in the cities.My Master dissertation includes five parts which are Introduction,Generalities of Guangdong Han music,Current situations of Guangdong Han music in Dabu county,Development of Guangdong Han music in first-tier cities,Inheritance analysis and changes analysis of Guangdong Han music in first-tier cities respectively.I chose two representative fieldwork investigated objects in Guangzhou and Shenzhen,which are Yangcheng Guangdong Han Music Ensemble and the Shenzhen Hakka Han Music Association.Figuring out the personnel organization of two investigated objects,backgrounds,activities,performing characteristics settings,etc.by using urban ethnomusicology perspective,to analyze how Guangdong Han music could survive and develop in first-tier cities and to understand how Guangdong Han integrate into the daily life in first-tier cities.The members of two investigated objects almost come from the Meizhou region in northern Guangdong province.While the best development of Guangdong Han music in Meizhou region is Dabu county.So I went to Dabu county do fieldwork too.Compare Guangdong Han music in Dabu county with Guangdong Han music in Shenzhen andGuangzhou to further study the similarities and differences,then discuss the reasons for heritage and changes of Guangdong Han music in first-tire cities.
