Based on the basic theories of sociolinguistics,this paper studies the relationship between the contemporary catchwords and the society in the2000.Social linguistics is a scientific description language and social structure change,from the variation of the angle,the way the popular language is the best embodiment of language change,provides a theoretical basis for popular language and the social relations of social linguistics.The contemporary catchwords are contemporary social culture,social psychology,social values and other aspects reflect,through the research,we can not only see the development and changes of the times,cultural psychology,can also enrich the research field of popular language,to provide some new perspectives for the future research,so that more people to pay attention to and study the language the phenomenon of cultural transmission,to promote the harmonious development of society.Therefore,it is necessary to make an in-depth and systematic study of the contemporary catchwords from the perspective of sociolinguistics.Besides the introduction and conclusion is divided into four parts,the first part is the contemporary catchwords the definition,types and characteristics,the second part is the social influence on contemporarypopular language,the third part is the influence of contemporary catchwords on society,the fourth part is the contemporary value of the popular language,this paper focuses on the second and three parts,i.e.the relationship between contemporary catchwords and society.The introduction introduces the background and significance,the relevant domestic and foreign research review,research methods and corpus,the first part of the definition,types and characteristics of catchwords are discussed,comparing several popular language related definitions,eventually to the popular language made a clear definition,this paper is based on what the meaning of the popular the language was further studied,then the types and characteristics of contemporary catchwords makes a comprehensive and detailed analysis,which focuses on the popular and innovative,concise and epochal characteristics of popular language,from social functions,sources of popular language of popular language types.The second and the three part focuses on the relationship between contemporary catchwords and society,based on the theory of social linguistics and combining social psychology theory,separately from the social influence on contemporary catchwords and contemporary catchwords two aspects on the social effects of the analysis.Everything is changing,and more so in society,and the popular language as a productof social culture will change with the passage of time,restricting the popular language of generation and transmission,disappear by social culture and social psychological conditions,at the same time,the creation of popular language also has a negative effect on society,reflects the social culture and psychological phenomenon,affecting social concept,attitude,values,way of life,this effect ultimately or in order to meet the psychological needs of communication.The fourth part is the value of contemporary catchwords on society,popular language reflects the situation of the state,a true records of the social growth and variety,and it caters to the psychological needs of the public,people can get rid of psychological stress and personality in the use of catchwords,through contemporary catchwords can also be a glimpse of change the psychological development of contemporary people.The conclusion part makes a brief summary to the full text,and put forward the problems of popular language,forms of popular language diversity,rich,and is closely related with the society,has great influence on the society,so to create a scientific system for contemporary catchwords good regulatory environment.
