Contrastive Analysis Of Conceptual Metaph Or In Wind Metaphor Between Chinses Ahd English

This paper combines lakoff and Johnson' s conceptual metaphor theor y,using the research methods of comparative linguistics,Analysis of t he metaphor meaning of '(?)' and 'wind' in Korean and Chinese.D esigned to reveal the similarities and differences of the metaphor me aning of '(?)' and '?' in Korean and Chinese.So as to provide help for foreign learners of Korean and Chinese,and provide some ref erence for the comparative study of the two languages.Traditionally,metaphor is regarded as a kind of rhetoric or modif ication.However,with the development of cognitive linguistics,peo ple begin to understand metaphor.Modern metaphor is a cognitive acti vity in which human beings can explain or understand the experience o f another field through the similarity between objects.Where there i s language,there is a metaphor.In the communication of daily life,metaphor has become a very common language phenomenon.Metaphor is bas ed on the people' s recurring experience.The way of people to recogni ze the world by metaphor is just like the mode is"recognize-metaphor-recognize".First of all,people need to understand the concepts whic h are easy to be felt.And then,with the help of metaphor,people us e the familiar experience to recognize the new concepts.In recent ye ars,with the development of modern study of metaphor,there have bee n massive researches on body metaphor.And in the same time we find t hat there is a lack of the researches on natural things,which we can do many researches on it.And different languages have different and erstanding of the same thing and language expression.So in this paper,this natural phenomenon 'wind' which is closely linked with human life style" as the research object,and combined with Lakoff' s theory of metaphor,classified and compared the metaphor meaning of '(?)'and '?',,finally,combing out the total metaphor and unique meta phor of '(?)' and '?'.The paper is composed with four parts:The first part is an instruction of the research status and the si gnificance of the study.Mainly introduced the thesis research purpos e and significance,research status,research scope and method.The second part introduces the theoretical background and the word senses of '(?)'and '?' in dictionaries such as the Chinese Di ctionary and Korea Learner's Dictionary and so on.And contrasted thes e senses,find the the total and unique senses.The third part will analysis the results of the second part,contr asted and summarized the total metaphor and unique metaphor of '(?)'and '?'.The last part is the conclusion of the whole study;explains the 1 imitation of the thesis and proposes potential suggest dons for the f uture research.
