Wu Mi was born in the Guanzhong,at an early age by the Guanzhong area pay attention to the traditional moral culture,after entering Tsinghua,Wu Mi continue study of Confucian classics on one hand,on the other hand,started to read the British scholar Carlyle and the French conservatives Burke ’s book,and formed some preliminary views of Chinese and western culture.After Wu Mi studying at Harvard University from Babbitt in 1917,he study and accept the new humanism theory systematically,thinking the new humanism and Chinese excellent traditional culture is the combination of salvation.It is worth noting that while studying abroad Wu Mi,during the first world war,western society reflect and critique on western cultural ideological trend,the malpractices of postwar American society,these are the Wu Mi culture has produced important influences on the formation of the conservative ideas.During his time in America,Wu Mi and Mei Guangdi,Chen Yinque,Shang Yongtong so culturally conservative idea some such as foreign exchange views and influence each other,these is an important part of Wu Mi cultural conservative ideas.Wu Mi,as it were,in the U.S.is a key period of the cultural conservatism thought,also for his return,advocating the new humanism and leading cultural conservative movement after the New Culture Movement,laid the ideological basis,and Mei Guangdi,Shang Yongtong,Chen yinque became an important member and author of the Xue Heng magazine.Wu Mi thoughts in the 19 th century 20 or 30 s,as a branch of the Chinese culture radicalism "opposites",has produced important influences on ideological circle in China,even today,the gradual,constructive thinking,still has an important value in academic research and reference value.
