As a part of modern Chinese vocabulary,the ancient words are different from the ancient Chinese vocabulary,which carrying a large amount of historical and cultural information,and It is of great significance for foreign students to learn Chinese as a foreign language and the development of Chinese as a foreign language.The development of vocabulary has a long history,we should not only consider the total level of vocabulary distribution,classification,disappearance and inheritance,but also focus on the vocabulary meanings' diachronicsuccession,innovationto better understand and master the language of their own country and widely.But at this stage,most of the archaic predecessors just pay attention to its ontology research,such as archaic word definition,classification and the scope of this thesis.On the basis of these views,I have done a systematic research on the ancient words in the textbooks.In the first chapter,the author summarizes the predecessors' research on the ancient words,and defines the ancient words in the textbooks of Chinese as a foreign language according to the definition of the ancient words defined by Qiu Feng and the words marked of "SHU" of the seventh edition of Modern Chinese.In the second chapter,this thesis starts from the function of ancient words in Chinese textbooks,especially the pragmatic meaning of archaic words and the words style for students acquisition effect;the second is from the angle of students,demonstrated theeffects of archaic words in Chinese textbooks,such as enlarge their vocabulary,comprehend Chinese grammar,narrow the cultural gap,promote cross-cultural communication,other aspects and so on,and summed up the importance of ancient words in teaching Chinese as a foreign language.In the third chapter,this paper mainly studies and statisticsforeign language teaching materials of the ancient words of three Boya Chinese-intermediate I,Boya Chinese,intermediate II and Boya Chinese-Advanceed I,analysed statistical data,and summed up the ancient words in Chinese textbooks according to the proportion,and according to the results of statistical analysis,summed up the importance of archaic words in Chinese teaching materials,and made"all" as an example for error analysis of archaic words acquisition of foreign students,and on this basis,summarized the foreign language teaching materials of the gains and losses,and put forward suggestions for the construction of teaching materials and teaching.Finally,according to the thesis,I have made a brief summary,and pointed out the deficiencies of the thesis,hoping to provide a little help for the study of archaic words in teaching Chinese as a foreign language or textbook,hoping the study of Chinese ancient words go far.Teaching Chinese as a second language aims to cultivate the ability of non-native Chinese learners in the authentic language environment independently.The ancient words can be seen everywhere in our daily life,though spoken language are always able to reflect,but ancient words are common used in a variety of newspapers,books,and various formal occasions,whichmake students truly integrate and lay a solid foundation of this ancient Chinesecivilization.
