Films besides fulfilling its obligation to provide their audience with romance and fair tales,they also seek to create thrilling and exciting psychological experience.This thesis will discuss a crime film from China's mainland,and illustrates it not only fulfils the audience's imagination,but also ignites the spirit of adventure and exploration that lurks within humanity.It encourages the public to take terms such as dignity,desire and morality in a serious manner.While offering its audience a unique experience,such film has its own black charm.The first chapter based on the film itself,gives a full analysis of the various means of narration in perspectives of structure,elements and viewpoints.The second chapter focuses on mainland crime films' narration style and concludes that this category of films by utilising symbolism tend to create local images in settings of the most common daily life and depict social stories featured by Chinese characteristics.The third chapter discovers self-redemption of film characters through lens of destiny unfolding,desire appeal and anger outlet,decodes the evil and good in humanity and discusses the theme of humanity that mainland crime films seek to highlight through a series means of narration.The conclusion states crime films in mainland China are on the rise and such progress is attributable to film people's bold attempts to try and innovate.The market for China mainland's crime films is expected to blossom and film people are expected to walk out their own path.
