On The Confession Consciousness Of MoYan

Mo Yan is an important writer in the new period and the first Nobel Prize winner in Literature of China.Based on intensive reading,these texts contain novels,short fictions,prose,drams,interview records and speech drafts of Mo Yan.By combining with image analysis and personality psychology of Freud,as well confession discourses of Foucault,etc.,the author uses original sin and redemption in the Bible to discuss confession consciousness of Mo Yan and his works.Confession consciousness of Mo Yan forms gradually and develops in a zigzag form.Therefore,the author tries to settle stream of Mo Yan's confession consciousness,analyzes causes for formation of confession consciousness,and explores abundant literary world and profound spiritual world of Mo Yan.The introduction can be divided into three parts.The author summarizes research status of Mo Yan's study,indicates basis for writing and topic significance,and defines the concept of confession consciousness.The main body can be divided into four chapters:in the chapter one,the author discusses sense of lowliness and confession of cultural personality for "our generations" set off by ancestors.With comparison,Mo Yan finds that ancestors and forefathers are full of the activity of original savagery culture,but the son generations may have"degeneration of species".He confesses the tininess of self-spirit and defects of cultural personality.In the second stage,Mo Yan reflects on the bloodlust and inhumanity of the nationality,such as maneating history and numb spectators.He still reflects on bad cultural inheritance,while criticizing it.To sum up,he expresses the wish to reshape cultural personality of contemporary people in the works.In the chapter two,the author mainly discusses confession of individual self-psychology in reality.Firstly,individuals are short of independent reflection and judgment.After being political machines,their behaviors result in evil consequence,thus they confess.Secondly,impact of consumerism results in material desire expansion of individuals.The alienated people confess for self-lost.At last,individual behaviors fail to result in evil consequence,but individuals who are "invisible executioners" should confess for "guilt of innocence".In chapter three,the author mainly analyzes belief,"super-empirical" painfulness and confession in life level.On the one hand,individuals who are short of belief feel guilty and realize self-redemption through confession.On the other hand,when individuals really experience the nihility feeling in existence significance,they will form the "super-empirical" life confession to revolt human existence state,and hope to return their "homeland".In the chapter four,the author mainly analyzes causes for Mo Yan's confession consciousness.This includes suffering historical memory and life experience of the author and it is also affected by cultural context and literature resources for confession consciousness,as well as ethical dilemma in commodity economy.
