TieNing, a femal writer, has kept vigour creation since 1977. Her novels has manifestated distinctive confession consciousness. And this thesis investigates into the confession consciousness of her novels from three perspectives.Firstly, we present the background, on which TieNing formed her confession consciousness. The background was influenced by the interaction of Eastern-Western culture. Furthermore, the confession consciousness gradually became profound, clear topics of her novels.Secondly, three periods are ascertained in light of TieNing's novels: XiangXue age, Meiguimen age and Dayunu age. We are from the chronological angle to narrative the dynamic of TieNing's confession consciousness. It can be concluded that her confession consciousness has gone through the Confucianism self-consciousness, the self-image with criticism in the femal world and the Christian self-interrogation with torture. At different stage of creation in writing, the confession consciousness of TieNing's novels has reflected different original intentions and contents. The Confucianism self-consciousness emphasizes the whole nation' confession, and it carries strongly social and historical character. The self-image with criticism in the femal world is based on geeeender's confession, and it accompanies feminism. The Christian self-interrogation with torture involves individual's confession, and it is concerned with the soul and fate of human being.Lastly, we sample three kinds of personal relationship from TieNing's novels:the young-eld sisters relationship, the male-female relationship and the mother-daugther relationship. Based on these relationship, we proble the original of guilty and the solution of self-save. The young-eld sisteers relationship of TieNing's novels don't confirm sisterhood, but it implies that individual looks closely at the half-past of oneself, through which one can discloses that the original of guilty hides in the innermost being. The male-female relationship stresses examining the sexuality of human being. The original of guilty exhibits uncontrolable of lust, and self-regulation of morality is the solution of this problem. The mother-daughter relationship reflects the social and historical perspectives. The original of guilty embodys the society loathing. The individual of society should renew through confession and self-save.The confession consciousness of TieNing's novels has propelled 'the person's confession' to the whole-nation confession, finally to 'the person's confession'. It makes contributions both to the deepening the confession topics of literature and to the pioneering work of femal literature.
