Ivan Alekseevitch Bunin is a great litterateur in the 20 th century of Soviet Union,who obtained the excellent achievement in the field of poetry,novel,translation,and be given the name as Russian classical master.His literary works pay tribute to the tradition,and also do not following the litterateur trend in the twentieth century with unique style.His works show the real Russian society in late 19 th century and early 20 th century,described the Russia's hometown scenery and show the picture of people's lives in the country.Through the window of folklore writing Bunin let the world see Russia's glorious history and cultural traditions.This paper selected Bunin's novellas as the research object,the author thinks Bunin has folk plot,and his works were very concerned about the Russian culture.Based on the perspective of folklore,this paper reveals the cause of the formation of Bunin's folk plot and cultural background,then shows the Russian folk customs described in his woks as well as digs deeper into his creation of folk cultural implication of the writing.The paper is divided into four parts.In the introduction part,the author firstly gives an overview of folklore criticism and its research status,then gives domestic research situation of Bunin,finally gives the significance of this paper.In the first chapter,the author expounds the reason of Bunin's owns folk plot and the origin of his folk writing,which contributes to three parts:Russian manor culture's influence on Bunin;Russia traditional folk writing influence on Bunin;the oriental philosophy influence on Bunin.In the second chapter,the author uses the method of close reading of the text to analyze the life etiquette in Bunin's works which including the wedding customs and funeral customs,in the polytheistic belief and the primitive witchcraft belief based on the folk belief and customs,the festival custom to the Nicola Festival,the Peter Festival,the Maslenitsa,the Lent represented,.and the ballad,the proverbs,the folktale and the folklore which have representative in the folk oral literature and the folk language.In the third chapter the author makes a cultural perspective on the Bunin's folk writing,and make an in-deep interpretation of cultural implication behind the folk writing of Bunin.In this part the author firstly analyzes the writing of Russian culture in Bunin's works,that reflects the character of Russia's plural opposition and the consciousness of original sin and redemption of the Orthodox Eastern Church,and then explain the Russian special ecology awareness and hometown feelings under the manor culture background.
