The Cold War Instrument Of USA

During the Cold War,the United States and the Soviet Union were highly competitive,the competition in the ideological field was no less than that of military forces and economic strength.In order to to win the initiative in the field of ideology,the United States and the Soviet Union had carried out heavy psychological warfare and propaganda war.Radio Liberty was built in this case.Focus of this article are what Radio Liberty broadcasted to the Soviet Union,how the radio was operating,and what the Soviet Union did during the period to counter the radio station,from the 50's radio station to the disintegration of the Soviet Union in the 1990 s.The paper is divided into three parts: introduction,text and conclusions.The first chapter introduces the background and difficulties of the establishment of Radio Liberty,the name changes of radio and the management about the United States Bolshevik Liberation Committee,the relationship between Radio Liberty and CIA and Radio Free European.Combing the United States on the Soviet Union psychological warfare and propaganda war establishment process.The second chapter introduces the situation of the staff that form the internal staff of the radio,the description of the research institutions of several specialized auxiliary stations,and introduces the theme of radio broadcasting,the guidelines,the contents of the radio and the practice of radio personnel.Also the role of the radio during the cold war and the situation after the end of the cold war was introduced.The third chapter discusses the Soviet interference and obstruction to the radio.In the Western psychological warfare and broadcast war under the fierce offensive,the Soviet Union did not indifferent,but to take a series of interference activities,including radio warfare,spy assassination,espionage and so on.Finally,the role of the radio during the Cold War was described.The final conclusion summarizes the conclusions of this paper,through the introduction of free radio,to take a glimpse of the Cold War era of the United States on the Soviet Union's psychological warfare and propaganda war strategy;warning us that today in the globalization and information technology tworld,must bigger and stronger national cultural soft power,to prevent and effectively deal with the hostile country's psychological warfare and propaganda war.
