The Development During The 12^th Dynasty Of The Fayum Region Of Ancient Egypt

The area of Fayum was located in the west of the Nile,it is the marsh land which is about 12,000 square kilometers in size.The first development of the Fayum region of ancient Egypt occurred during the 12 th Dynasty.Especially,the 1st king of the 12 th Dynasty Amennemhet?moved the capital from Thebes to the entrance of Fayum,to establish a new capital city—Itj-tawy.Fayum became the political center of the country.Furthermore,Lisht becomes a burial area.There were pyramids on the south and north of the layout respectively.The formation of Lahun village offered the possibility for building many towns.The agriculture of Fayum depended heavily on the natural conditions.It developed rapidly and balanced the famine problems during the First Intermediate Period,it also ensured the taxes of the country.The admired inhabitant worshiped Crocodile God in the religious aspect.In fact,the combination of Crocodile God with Sun God to became the main god.The development of the 12 th Dynasty of the Fayum region of ancient Egypt provided a solid material foundation for the revival of the Middle Kingdom and valuable preconditions for the development of the Ptolemaic Dynasty.However,for a long time,it due to the ignorance of the objective phenomenon in the development process,destruction of the natural and ecological environment.Eventually,the economy in the Fayum region declined.To this end,the development of the region should pay more attention to protect the environment.The dissertation made up of the preface,main body and concluding remarks.The preface introduces the development of Fayum region and research situation at home and abroad.The main body of my paper is divided into three parts:Part 1: The study background of the development of the 12 th Dynasty in the Fayum region of ancient Egypt,mainly by introduce the political and economic situation of the 12 th Dynasty and the natural and human environment of the Fayum region.Part 2: The specific measures of the development 12 th Dynasty of the Fayum region of ancient Egypt.It was divided into many towns built for regime stability.The main cities were Itj-tawy,Lisht,Lahun.The dynasty deals with the constructions of the irrigation projects for the agricultural development under economics,and with the worship mainly of the Sobek god and the construction of the mainly worship of the Sobek god and the construction of the temples.Part 3: The significance of the development of Fayum region for the 12 th Dynasty and Ptolemaic Dynasty.The conclusion sum up the role of the 12 th Dynasty of ancient Egypt for the development of the Fayum region.
