A Report On The Consecutive Interpreting For The Symposium Of Hebei Result-based Environmental Project Action Plan

This is a consecutive interpreting report based on result-based environmental project action plan conducted by Hebei PMO(Project Management Office)with the loan of the World Bank.As the economy,science and technology are developing rapidly,the unsustainable problems of resources,environment and other issues are becoming increasingly serious,and so is atmospheric pollution in Hebei Province.Therefore,Hebei Province used 4.5 million dollars donated by World Bank to launch a result-based environmental project and made a report to the related departments.In this interpreting practice,the author mainly acted as a consecutive interpreter for the spokesman who gave the report of Hebei result-based environmental project action plan.The interpreting practice report analyzes the problems during the interpreting process and offers corresponding solutions combined with practical experience and professional knowledge,finally gives an overall thought and summary of the interpreting task.This report includes four chapters.The first chapter is the introduction of the interpretation task,which describes the background,the nature and client's requirements of Hebei result-based environmental project action plan.The second chapter is the introduction of the interpretation process,mainly aimed at the preparation of the interpretation,including mastering the background knowledge and contents of the report,the description of the whole process and quality of the interpretation.The third chapter is case analysis of interpretation,first of all,the author predicts the contents of the speaker,and then expounds the interpretive theory focusing on its guiding role in interpreting practice,and analyzes the principle of syntactic linearity as well as effort coordination.The last part is the summary of interpreting practice,including the numbers in notes,omissions and mistakes in interpretation and gives thought to the proper use of effort coordination.Finally,personal enlightenment and prospect of interpreting practice are provided by the author.Through participating in the interpreting practice and completing the report,practical experience and self-improvement can be promoted for the future interpreting practice.
