Ethics is a kind of moral philosophy discussing issues among different people,which serves as inner driver for human society,monitoring human's conducts and moderating human's relationship.It is a discipline explaining social moral norms in human society.As a type of translation,interpretation is an important tunnel for language-based cross-cultural communication.Interpretation is naturally related to ethical issues in terms of inter-lingual,interpersonal or cross-cultural aspects,and these issues are worth of ethical consideration.As a tool and method for inter-lingual communication,interpretation plays a vital role for international exchange.Currently,interpretation has become a hot profession in such an international exchangequickly increased era.It becomes urgent to establish ethical norms in interpretation industry to regulate interpreters' professional activities,as well as facilitate the sound development in interpretation industry.However,relative studies in this field are still rare,only Professor Ren Wen,Li Min and Wang Hao have made relative discussions and statements.Introducing relative studies in Translation Ethics and taking inherent characters of interpretation into consideration,the author is trying to redefine ethics and morality in the perspective of etymology and philosophy.In addition,the author also has made theoretical proposal for Interpretation Ethics.Based on the author's discovery,ethics,namely moral philosophy,is a discipline studying for the phenomenon and essence of morality;whereas morality is an aggregation of principles moderating people to people and people to society relations in human's society.Interpretation Ethics is a discipline studying for moral issues during interpretation,and interpreters' ethical behaviors are affected by professional obligation,professional awareness and personal morality three aspects.Besides,from the perspective of the history of interpretation,professionalization of interpretation and problems in interpreting,the author further explained detailed contents of Interpretation Ethics,analyzed factors affecting Interpretation Ethics and made some suggestions for Interpretation Ethics building.It is hoped that these works could provide some new indications for Interpretation Ethics studies,enrich relative studies,regulate interpreter's professional activities,further promote the sound and ordered development of interpretation industry.
