In 1993,Mona Baker first put forward the idea of studying translation in a technical way, which is the use of a special corpora.Delexicalized verb in English is a special linguistic phenomenon. This kind of word has no specific meanings but grammatical functions.Combing the corpus toll with delexicalized verbs, the author of this thesis studies on translation strategies of delexicalized verb Have based on a self-constructed bilingual corpora, whose materials derive from an English novel The English Patient and its two translation versions, including the translation version composed by Zhang Xing and Qing Xin and the other composed by Ding Jun.According to characteristics of linguistic materials, the researcher of this thesis selects a typical delexicalized verb Have and its variant forms Had and Has.The main points are devided into two parts. On the one hand, two translators apply some similar strategies to translate delexicalized verbs structure. From this point of view, this thesis lists three similar strategies of two translation versions in the field of translating delexicalized verbs Have,Has,Had: verbalization, implicitation and BA-construction.Firstly,the translation strategy to verbalize English nouns into Chinese verbs is applied in order to make translation progress convenient. What's more, verbs in Chinese can accurately express rich feelings and emotions of speakers. This kind of strategy conforms to Chinese language customs. That is to say, this kind of translation strategy belongs to domesticating strategy.Secondly, the use of implicitation embodies that both two translators adopt rewriting idea.Thirdly, translators are wise and professional to use BA construction in order to conform the displacement diagram and to describe character's subjective feelings and experience. On the other hand, this thesis also focuses on the discrepancy of two versions' translation strategies.According to relevant statistics, the rates of marked Chinese words occupying whole translations in Zhang's version and Ding's version respectively are 0.61% and 0.21%.Zhang's translation adopts more marked wordings than Ding's.This discrepancy is obvious. In terms of rewriting theory, this discrepancy or difference in two translation versions seems to be normal and acceptable. With the poly-system theory, power relations have influence on these two translation versions, which are produced in different ages.
