A Review Of Zooarchaeology In China In The Paleolithic

Zooarchaeology,as a branch of archaeology discipline,involves all history stages related with human.Zooarchaeology began to form with archaeology explanatory research to the animal remains from archaeological sites.Its development is closely related to the study of animal remains in the Paleolithic no matter in the China and foreign.This paper tries to discuss the relationship between the history of Zooarchaeology in foreign and the research of animal remains in the Paleolithic to clear the scope of Zooarchaeology.And then it briefly describes the early achievement and explores the background of Zooarchaeology in Chinese Paleolithic based on this scope.The last is to see the current research status of Zooarchaeology in Chinese Paleolithic in Henan province as an example.The first part is the introduction.Mainly related to the reason of my choice,research method,research review,etc.Topics on this paper based on the predecessors' research results is to explore the status and role of Zooarchaeology in the Paleolithic in the history of China and foreign's Zooarchaeology,to analyze the background of Zooarchaeology in Chinese Paleolithic,and to see the general situation of Zooarchaeology in Chinese Paleolithic in Henan province as an example.Methods by adopting the combination of global and local method and case analysis method in the provinces.Research review on combing with the papers related to the topic.The second part is the history of China and foreign's Zooarchaeology and Zooarchaeolog in Paleolithic.Zooarchaeology in Paleolithic is a part of Zooarchaeology and occupies an important position in the history of Europe and United States' Zooarchaeology.Zooarchaeologies' explanatory study will be formally incorporated analysis of animal remains from the archaeological site into archaeological disciplines.From the mid 1900 s till now,there is no introductory articles of Zooarchaeology in Paleolithic especially in the early.So this paper will simply introduce several predecessors and their works.The third part is background introduction of Zooarchaeology research in the Paleolithic.Before the founding of the People's Republic of China,there was a complicated background of Zooarchaeology in Paleolithic,which not only had trace that the early China Archaeology based on Geology but also had be promoted by the geological survey's research of Paleolithic archaeology,but basically couldn't leave the theory and method of the Paleontology.The fourth part is the general situation of Paleolithic Zooarchaeology in Henan province.Since the 1950 s,the research of Paleolithic Zooarchaeology in Henan province had been concentrating in Xincai,Nanyang,Anyang,Luoyang,Zhengzhou,Xuchang,etc.It is very lack of people who can competent the work of Paleolithic Zooarchaeology in Henan province.Since the 21 scentury,Paleolithic Zooarchaeology' results emerge in endlessly and its method and theory also have a major breakthrough.Especially the study of the Llingjing fauna,which is the first time to use the method of Taphonomy to systematically research.The fifth part is the summary of the essay.,it is the article summarized main points.
