A Study On The Poetry Of The Xinhua Daily (Chongqing Edition)in The Period Of Anti-japanese War

During the Anti-Japanese War,the Chongqing edition of the Xinhua Daily was the only published official newspaper of the Communist Party in the rear area.In addition,it published a considerable number of literary works,which involving literary criticism,poetry,prose,novel,reportage and other literary styles.These literary works were not only enrich the connotation of the Anti-Japanese War literature,but also played an important role in promoting the healthy development of the wartime literature.During the war,the Chongqing edition of the Xinhua Daily published a total of more than 700 poems.As an integral part of war poetry,these poems enriched the ideological connotation and aesthetic quality of anti-war poetry in the rear,also constituted a microcosm of anti-war poetry.This paper intends to make a thorough study of the poems that on the Chongqing edition of Xinhua daily from the perspective of poetic style.Therefore,on the common understanding of the poetic style and the language forms of all kinds of poems,the poems of Xinhua Daily(Chongqing edition)mainly consist of three categories,including ballad,free verse and classical poetry.First of all,the combination of poetic language and folk language form makes the ballad poetry reactive in the war.These ballad poems that on the Chongqing edition of Xinhua Daily directly use the form of folk,and the poetic language shows obvious musical features,which are in pursuit of a fresh,plain aesthetic tendency.And the ballad poetry is very popular among the masses.Secondly,combining with the language of poetry and modern oral form makes the free verse poetry is more abundant in wartime.These free verse poems,on the Chongqing edition of Xinhua Daily,show the aesthetic characteristics of prose beauty in the form of structure,and the language of those free verse poetry is fresh and natural,which pursuing a kind of natural beauty.Thirdly,the classical poems,the traditional form of poetry,were revived in wartime.On the Chongqing edition of Xinhua Daily,these classical poems not only show the inheritance of the traditional old style poetry,also make the improvement in the original neat and strict metrical system of the classical poetry,which showing the new aesthetic characteristics.It is of great significance to re-read the poetry on the Chongqing edition of Xinhua Daily.On the one hand,those poems not only show characteristics of times and militancy and popularity,which have always maintained close contact with the times,the people,so that actively reflect the complex reality of society in the context and shoulder the mission that the times entrusted to poetry,and wartime function.On theother hand,the poems on the Chongqing edition of Xinhua Daily,to a certain extent,also reflect the vigorous development of various forms of poetry in the rear area during the war of resistance against Japan,and present the valuable aesthetic quality of poetry in the special historical period and the pursuit of the richness of poetic development.
