This paper, studies from ecocritical angle,Wordsworth's selected poems such as the Lyrical Ballads, the “Excursion”,the “Prelude”,and so on.The paper mainly discusses Wordsworth's ecological consciousness in poetry in three aspects: criticizing the damage of Industrial Revolution to human and earth;encouraging ecological equality and environmental conservation;and advocating the harmony relationship between man and nature. It attempts to explore Wordsworth's ecological idea in poetry in these aspects, focus on his ecological thought, expound the recourse and the significance of the thought, and estimate the value of Wordsworth's works. The ecological consciousness in Wordsworth's poem is the hot issue which ecologists concern for a long time.Wordsworth's poems recall people's love to nature, hatred to environmental pollution, concern about the environment wherein we live, and awaken people's ecological awareness.By studying Wordsworth's selected poems, people could understand the importance of nature and know that protecting nature means protecting mankind themselves. So people should live in a harmonious way with nature. It is hoped that this study can contribute to establishment of ecological society today.
