A Study On The Relationship Between Conscience Development,Aggression And Self Control Of Juvenile Delinquents

Conscience is a kind of self-consciousness on their own emotions,behavior,attitudes followed by a standard of good and evil monitoring and regulation,which is of great value to the cultivation of the national literacy and the reconstruction of the national mentality.The purpose of this study is to investigate the status and influence factors of conscience of juvenile delinquents in this special group,and made a comparative study on juvenile delinquents and teenagers,explore the relationship between conscience,aggression and self-control.326 adolescents in reformatory and 374 teenagers completed a questionnaire including Qiu Xiaoyan's adolescent conscience questionnaire,Chinese version of the Buss-Perry Aggression Questionnaire and the Dual-Mode of Self-Control Scale.Results reveal that:1.The conscience of juvenile delinquents is in the middle level,gratitude at the highest level,adjoin shame ? responsibility ?sympathy?filial piety?right and wrong,honesty and credibility and forgiveness at the lowest level.2.There are significant differences in the score of conscience between different education,the length of labor reform,the type of crime and the number of imprisonment.3.The scores of juvenile delinquents in conscience and eight-dimensional were significantly lower than those of the teenagers.4.The two dimensions of aggressive physical aggression and hostility can negatively predict the level of conscience development of juvenile delinquents.5.The impulsive system of self-control can predict the development level of conscience of juvenile delinquents,and the control system can predict the level of conscience development of juvenile delinquents.6.Aggression and self-control play an important role in the development of the conscience of juvenile delinquents,and self-control,as a moderator variable,remission the obstructive effect of aggression on the development of conscience.
