According to attachment theory and researches, there is a relationship between attachment patterns and psychopathology. The subjects of the studies of the relationship beteween attachment patterns and psychopathology usually were general and clinical people,such as adults,adolescents and children. The purpose of this study was to investigate attachment of juvenile delinquents and common adolescents, and the relationship among attachment, negative emotion and deviant behavior. A total of 616 adolescents were asked to complete the Questionnaire. The t-test, ANOVA .correlation analysis, and construct equation modeling were used,to analyze the data and the results were shown as below:1. The proportion of insecure attchment of juvenile delinquents was higher than high school students. The difference of attachment between juvenile delinquents and common adolescents was Other Dimensionality, and the juvenile delinquents had negative Other Model.2. There were significant differences in psychopathology between juvenile delinquents and common adolescents. The juvenile delinquents were found to have higher scours on depression, anxiety , hostility and deviant behavior than common adolescents.3. Attchment patterns can be used to forecast the mental health. Adolescents with insecure attachment behaved more psychopathology. There had relationship between Self Dimensionality and negative emotion, between Other Dimensionality and negative emotion, between Other Dimensionality and deviant behavior.4. Emotion regulation and coping played mediating role among attachment, negative emotion and deviant behavior. The construct equation model indicated Self Dimensionality and Other Dimensionality contributed to negative emotion and deviant behavior through different emotion regulation and coping strategies.Implications of the finding and future research suggestion were also discussed in the study.
