With the deepened development of globalization in the current world and frequent exchange of ideas among different areas,a new text is occurring.That is commercial documentary fiction,which combined the characteristics of both literature and financial text,and book like this kind is mainly writen by people from Europe and America.There is no doubt that the translation of this kind of text is very important,however,it hasn’t attract enough attention and research in China.As a result,it is a question worthy thinking to convey the content in an effective and accurate way,and it is also the key part to discuss in this paper.Skopos Theory was proposed by Vermeer in 1970 s,who thought that any translation behaviour should be determined by the purpose of translation.Vermeer helps translation research get rid of the constraint of original text.It brings new vision to translation field and made up traditional translation research.Based on translation of Insights from Great Business Minds,this report launches analysis under the guidance of Skopos Theory.The writer starts a systematic analysis on the collected samples as well as the translation aspects and tactics from two aspects: phrase and sentence.The writer studies phrase translation from the perspective of deletion or addition,word conversion,and four-word phrases,and analizes sentence translation from the perspective of linear translation,reverse translation and active-passive sentences conversion.Many examples are listed for further illustration,by which the writer hopes to provide some effective translation method for reference.
