The paper aims to explore the development characteristics and relationships of shame,self-compassion and coping style.Therefore,the coping style of middle school students can be improved.The ultimate goal is to improve the social adaptability and mental health of the students.It was advised via questionnaire the Coping Style Scale of Middle School Students,Middle School Students' Shame Scale,Self Compassion Scale to 900 students.Participation was approximately education-balanced,at junior school degree,high school degree and college degree.We embraced SPSS19.0.to complete t-test,variance analysis,correlation analysis and mediation effect over all data.In terms of junior students ' shame,self-compassion and coping styles,the students of different grades,genders and academic performances were compared.Also,we examined the relationship among the three variables,while exploring the self-compassion acted as the intermediary role between the sense of shame and coping style.Conclusions are as follows:1.The shame,self-compassion and coping style of middle school student are all influenced by significant factors such as different grades,genders and the academic performances of middle school student.2.the sense of shame is negatively correlated self-compassion.While positively correlated with positive coping styles.And,it is negatively correlated with negative coping styles.The self-compassion is positively correlated with problem-solving and help seeking.However,it is negatively correlated with withdrawal,venting,fantasy.3.the self-compassion acts as a complete intermediary role between the sense of shame and problem-solving.And,the self-compassion acts as a partial intermediary role between the sense of shame and help seeking,withdrawal,and fantasy coping styles.
