| Dragon,occupying an important status in China.The dragon has become a kind of culture,a symbol of C hina for thousands of years,and the C hinese people,known as the "descendants of the dragon" around the word.The dragon worship custom has a long history,and it has penetrated into all aspects of the whole Chinese society after thousands of years ’sinheritance,reflected in kinds of People’s Daily life,given a great influence for the social development.Thus the research about the Chinese dragon worship has been an important subject for historical science and social science,and the study about nature of the Chinese dragon worship never stopped.Thestudies of related issues will have a wide impact on the whole social.This paper will take the dragon worship custom of the han people lived in central plains region,as the main object,and it will focus on the following several aspects:First,on the issue of the dragon evolved,I will seek for the clue from the records of the C hinese ancient literature.The dragon-shape roughly experienced five stages of development in historical period,To the Ming and qing dynasties the shape finally formation,from simple to complex,from abstract to image,become what we have seen today.On the basis of this,wediscoverd the function of the dragonin the history o,in addition to the object of witchcraft,mainly play a role of the rain god;And then it became the exclusive symbol of imperial power.Second,after the qin and han dynasties,the dragon has gradually become the exclusive items of autocratic imperial power.Based on detailed investigation about the service system,and the emergence of the first flag –The Dragon flag,to argue the relationship between the dragon and imperial power: The dragon is the symbol of autocratic imperial power,just belonging to the royal private,andothers could not attach it.The rulerseven use the people’s worship ofthe dragon,to achieve the goal of strengthening his own ruleThird,based on the investigation to the dragon related folk custom,combining with the establishment of the dragon temple,"February" dragonfestival,and the Dragon Boat Festival to show the piety of dragon worship in the people.The dragon as the object of worship,have great deity,in people’s minds.And in the folk beliefs,the protector and the role of water god worship are the main forms of expression.Fourth,with the aid of traditional literature and related research results of the western theory of totem,based in C hina,compared with the Chinese dragon worship forms in such aspacts like the basic features of totem,totem taboo,totem ritual,to discover the similarities and differences,to prove that the Chinese dragon worship is not a totem worship,there have something wrong in people’s mind.In this paper,in addition to sort outthe dragon-shaped developmentfrom historical Angle,explore the traditional Chinese’sdragonfolk worship explore thenatureof Chinese dragon worship,the main purpose of this research is to convey to the people such a concept:the dragon worship is a C hinese cultural product under a particular cultural environment,itconnectedwith the thousands of years cultural tradition in China it is a particular characteristics of C hinese civilization,is the "treasure" of Chinese culture;It can’t just simply copy any other ethnic culture,or use its theory to explain it.Only in combination with the background of China since ancient times,social environment,to give an interpretation is reasonable.Furthermore,the Chinese culture represented by dragon,extensive and profound,has a long history,we Chinese should have enough cultural confidence,only in this way,will lead to the implementation of the C hinese dream. |
