Along with the changing of time,the art of traditional opera indeed faced with some dif ficulties and embarrassment,for young people no longer go to see the operas or even couldn't appreciate the essence of them.The remaining audiences in current situation are mainly se nior citizens.With the replenishment of population,the real fans will be vanished one day to some extent.In that sense,many folk opera artists will also lose the market of preforming.Our documentary explores the experience of a grandmother Gao and her fellow folk act ors in Sichuanese opera performance within a year.Through the interactions between the th eatergoers and the folk theatrical troupe,as well as the theatergoers and the operas,a noticea ble feeling of fate and sincerity can be shown with the changing of time and space.This paper develops illustrations into two sections.The first section states the considera tions of choosing the shooting object at preparatory stage as well as the relation between ch aracterization and the film narrative at later stage.The second section,combining theories o f film creation,discusses the importance of humanity in documentaries through character ch oosing and depicting.
