Imagination And Performance:Studies On The Daily Practice Of K-pop Fans And Its Significance.

This research focuses on Korean pop music fans(K-pop fans),based on virtual ethnography,in-depth interview and participant observation.The research uses spectacle and performance paradigm(SPP)to explain how K-pop fans practiced in their daily life.This research explores the social context of K-pop fans,the relationship between K-pop idol,the interaction between fans group and daily practice of K-pop fans.With the perspective of feminism,this study also attempt to discuss fans gossip between female community.The research argues:In the internet age,the practice of fans change from spectacle to performance actively,K-pop fans establish a para-social interaction with K-pop idol due to their long-term contact of idol text.In fact,it is a kind of compensatory mechanism,to make up for the lack of real communication in reality.And the relationship between fans group is familiar stranger,their connection may interrupt at any time or develop to a real connection in reality.To identify different types of K-pop fans,this research divides them into four group,insider,devotee,tourists,minglers,the difference in fanship consumption is obvious among different types of fans,and their identity are in constantly changing,time and money will influence them.In general,Korean wave has influenced K-pop fans a lot,both in the outside of the dress up or inner aesthetic.Fan culture even intervene fans’ interpersonal relationships and life scenes,it is an element of life,build up their world view.
