A Study On The Relationship Between Quality Of Life And Death Anxiety And Coping Style In The Elderly: The Mediating Effect Of Trait Anxiety Personality

Death anxiety is an uncomfortable feeling of fear or anxiety when you look Forward or wake up to it,including emotional,cognitive,pressure and pain,time consciousness and composition,and affected by the stage of development and social culture.Lots of studies have shown that death anxiety of elderly is higher than other groups,the anxiety of the elderly is mainly due to the change of mentality caused by the sharp decline in the quality of life,rather than the Fear of the end of life.One study shows that the quality of life of the elderly influence death anxiety level,the higher the quality of life of the elderly,death anxiety level is lower,and trait anxiety personality partly mediated the relation between death anxiety and quality of life.the purpose of study two was to explore the coping styles of the elderly with high quality of life.the results showed that: old people use internal and external defense to cope with death anxiety.Internal defense mainly adopts the way of thinking,emotional coping,LOHAS life;external defense mainly adopts the way of interpersonal connection,regimen,life planning.In this study,325 elderly were investigated by using the WHOQOL-BREF,the Chinese version of the death anxiety scale(CT-DAS)and the State trait Anxiety Inventory,to explore the relationship between quality of life,death anxiety and trait anxiety in the elderly.Study two: Based on the above analysis,interviews were conducted among 6 elderly people with high quality of life,to structure the basic theoretical Framework For coping with death anxiety in the elderly.the research results were the Following:1.Elderly'death anxiety and its all dimensions had a high level,but quality of life had a low level,and elderly generally overestimate their own quality of life.2.Elderly' death anxiety had significant differences in gender,illness,and the ability to movement.Death anxiety is significantly higher in men than women;Aged people in death anxiety was significantly Lower than No patient group;the poorer the ability of movement,the higher the death anxiety;Elderly were affected by of family friction with higher the death anxiety.3.Elderly'all spheres of quality of life had significant differences in gender,illness,and the ability to movement.the quality of life in all areas is significantly higher in men than women;Aged people in Areas of quality of life was significantly Lower than No patient group;the poorer the ability of movement,the lower the quality of life;Elderly were affected by of family friction with lower quality of life.4.the death anxiety positive correlation with trait anxiety personality.5.trait anxiety personality partly mediated the relation between subjective quality of life and death anxiety.6.the death anxiety and its all dimensions had significant negative correlation spheres.h Four areas of quality of life,the quality of life in the physiological has the greatest impact on death anxiety.7.trait anxiety personality partly mediated the relation between quality of life and death anxiety.
