To explore independent personality as a specific mechanism of the role of protective personality factor of anxiety,with 410 college students as subjects,using questionnaire survey method to measure.The relationship between independent personality trait and anxiety was examined by correlation analysis,and hierarchical regression analysis was used to test the moderating effect of self-esteem on self-supporting personality trait and anxiety relationship.The results showed that:(1)among the 10 factors of independent personality traits,9 independent personality traits were significantly negativelycorrelated with state anxiety and trait anxiety;(2)self-esteem and self-reliancepersonality can explain anxiety respectively 18.8%and 4.5%of the variance,the interaction of self-esteem by independent personality regression coefficients in the regression equation of anxiety as the dependent variable in the interacting reachsignificance level(?=-0.107,t=-3.210,P=0.001)and the introduction of new interpretation(?R~2)has reached the significant level(?R~2=0.012,P=0.000)after interaction anxiety can explain 1.2%of variance.Conclusion:college students'independent personality traits can predict anxiety level,and negative ego in the relationship of independent personality and anxiety adjustment,the individual's self-esteem level is higher,the independent personality of the less the positive regulatory role of anxiety.
