Study Of Keyboard Concerto Music In The First Half Of The 18th Century

This paper takes the keyboard concerto as the main research object,introducing the development of keyboard music during the Baroque period and the creation features of the keyboard concerto in the first half of the 18 th century,including the creations of the keyboard music of J·S·Bach and Handel.Afterwards,the author analyzes the creative features and styles of the main works of“Italian Concerto” and “Organ Concerto Op.4”,Which composed by J·S·Bach and Handle respectively.Through analyzing the music works of two composers,in order to conclude the characteristics of the keyboard concerto in the first half of the 18 th century and the influence for the later composers in the creations of the keyboard concerto.This paper is divided into four parts:Part I: The development of the keyboard concerto during the Baroque period.This paper respectively discusses the development of the French piano and the German organ during the Baroque period,it also analyzes the development of the basic forms of three concerto genres in the second half of 17 th century and Solo Concerto in the first half of the 18 th century.The development of the music before the concerto is also be introduced and analyzed.Part II: The keyboard concerto music creations of J·S·Bach in the first half of the 18 th century.First of all,the author gives the introduction of several piano concertos which adapted by J·S· Bach in the first half of the 18 th century.Secondly,analyzing his classic piano concerto “Italian Concerto”and giving an introduction of the Italian musical style.Finally,the paper concludes the keyboard music creations of J·S·Bach and the music style features of keyboard concerto.Part III: The Characteristics of Keyboard Concerto of Handel in the first half of the 18 th Century.To begin with,the paper analyzes“Organ Concerto Op.4”of Handel.Moreover,the author sums up the music style and features of Handel's keyboard music and keyboard concerto.Part IV: The style and influence of the keyboard concerto in the first half of the 18 th century.This paper summarizes the music styles and characteristics of the keyboard concerto in the first half of the 18 th century based on Part II and Part III,discussing the influence of the keyboard concerto composing in the future.
