Qi Sihe(1907-1980)is a famous historian in twentieth century.He has a large stock of information.He has deep attainments in Chinese history,world history and the history of historiography and so on.He enjoys a high prestige in the historiography circle.Qi Sihe dedicated his life to education career.His education's thoughts is a mixture of Chinese and Western.He had cultivated a large number of historians.He made outstanding contribution to the history of education in our country.His historical education's thoughts and practice achievements are precious treasure in the educational circles of our country.This article mainly expounds historical education's thoughts and practice of Qi Sihe systematically.First of all,the article introduces the life story and historical achievements of Qi Sihe.It has a deep understanding of his historical experience,and it has an influence on historical education's thoughts and practice.Secondly,the article combs the formation and development of Qi Sihe's historical education thoughts,sum up the development process of historical education thoughts and practice.Thirdly,it analyzes the historical education's thoughts and educational ideas formed in the course of educational practice,from the compilation of lectures,history curriculum and teaching methods,measures to reform higher education,carry forward patriotism and national spirit,introduce and evaluate books to form book review values and so on.Finally,it makes a systematic evaluation of the historical education's thoughts.It expounds Qi Sihe's historical education's thoughts and practice of the integration of Chinese and Western culture,historical materialism and historical teaching combined with historical research.It future expounds the value and significance of Qi Sihe's historical education's thoughts and practice.His thoughts and practice has a distinctive spirit of the times in a particular environment.It is not only enrich the study of the historical education's thoughts and practice in the period of the Republic of China,but also can be used for reference to the reform of history education.
