College Students' Flourish:Booming Advantage Character And Self Strength

In the study of positive psychology,Seligman's Theory of Happiness 2.0 adds the Five Elements of Happiness(PERMA),and also determines the flourishing development(flourish)as life goals.He also uses empirical analysis and carries out the plan of value in action(VIA)program,to explore the achievement of a happy personality trait(personality advantage).This study takes the personality advantage as the starting point and combines the mediating role of self-power to explore the relationship among the vigorous development of college students.The aim of this study is to provide reference and guidance for college students' mental health education.Through the sampling and empirical analysis of 30 colleges in Shaanxi and the positive psychological argument,this study draws the following conclusions:(1)The flourishing college students has 14 distinct characters and three virtues,such as “Thanksgiving,love and being loved,kindly generous,hope,modesty,fairness,integrity,social wisdom,passion,responsibility loyalty,spirituality,beauty,prudence,self-control” and “Love virtue-human advantage,beyond virtue-faith,justice beauty-citizens.”(2)The flourishing college students has 3 strong ego-strengths and happy elements,such as “self-health,self-interest,self-growth,self-growth – action” and “meaning of life,good popularity,positive emotions and other elements of happiness”;Relatively speaking,focus on input,sense of accomplishment and self-Self control are low.(3)There is no significant difference in the development of boys and girls,but self-growth and personality advantage have their own characteristics.Self-growth,self-altruism and self-happiness of girls are higher than boys;Wisdom,courage,caution,leadership and creativity of boys are significantly higher than girls;Surpass,appreciation,kindness,justice and responsibility are significantly higher than boys.(4)The flourishing college students has 12 drive forces of character advantage endogenous,such as “ passion,self-control,creativity,modesty.” At the same time,14 personality advantages can produce a significant positive effect on their own strength.(5)The self-power of college students has a significant mediating effect between the driving force of personality and the vigorous development.In the “X personality advantage-O self-strength-Y vigorous development”structural equation,6 major virtues and 24 character advantages of college students can stimulate its five vigorous development through the activation of nine self-forces factors.There are still some shortcomings in this study.This study is limited to colleges in Shaanxi Province and the relevant conclusions need to do a wider range of national verification and in-depth discussion.The study using positive psychology theory and method to study the dominant character and the flourishing college students has just begun,and it is necessary to further explore the influence of the personality advantage on The flourishing college students in life?school?communication and employment pressure.
