Erhu,one of the most representative and most expressive national musical instruments of China,has a long history.In the recent 1,000 years,erhu acts as accompanied instruments of opera music in people's life.Until modern times,Mr.Liu Tianhua,who is the ancestor of the modern performer,learned and imitate the western educational model,composing techniques,performance skills,which further improved connotation of Erhu art,so that Erhu become a unique solo instrument.After the establishment of new China,with the emergence of a large number of outstanding talents,erhu playing developed rapidly.All the achievements were based on excellent works of composers.Take the creations of Liu Tianhua,Liu Wenjin,Tan Dun and other composers as example,all their works rooted from tradition and integrated modern elements without exception.It is they got to reach the balance point of tradition and innovation that created many classic erhu music.In this paper,the author studied Mr.Tan Dun 's works Shuang Que by analysing the integration of modern composition techniques and traditional musical elements The author hopes to make contribution to the development and improvement of contemporary erhu art.
