As emotional regulation strategies, affect labeling and non-affect labeling have been studied more and more. But on one hand the difference of effects between them is still controversial, and the applied studies of affect labeling and non-affect labeling are not enough. On the other hand, there are difference in abilities of emotion self-control and cognition include language between undergraduate junior students.BIOPAC system and functional near-infrared spectroscopy(fNIRS)are adopted in this study to explore the effect of non-affect labeling on facing negative stimulus and figure out applicability of non-affect and affect labeling in different student group. Our experiments include two groups, subjects were all from universities and middle schools in Tianjin, and each group has 16 and equality of men and woman, they are all healthy, right handed, and no bloody allergy history. The design of our experiments are 2(stimuli type:negative, neutral)x 3(regulation strategies:matching, affect labeling,non-affect labeling)between subject design.pictures for each trail were chosen from International Affective Picture System(IAPS),which included negative and neutral matched images, each category included human being world and natural world.Judging shapes was as a control task on the base of existing six main tasks.Under the experimental conditions, the results show that.(1)non-affect labeling can suppress emotion arousal evoked by negative stimulus;(2)no effect difference was found in undergraduate group junior students groupbetween non-affect labeling and affect labeling.
