The Study Of Yu Dafu's Early Literary Creation On The Influence Of Satou Haruo

As one of the pioneers of the New Literature of the May Fourth Movement,Yu Dafu,by status of Degradation,had led The Creation Society to step on the stage of Chinese modern literature.Talking about the writing style and literature expression of Yu Dafu's early literary works,we can't fail to mention his ten-year's literature influence in Japan.After the Meiji Restoration,the Western civilization spread to Japan,and a large number of literature thoughts were continuously introduced,which was inherited or mutated into the unique culture and doctrine of Japanese literature.Taking the aestheticism originating in the late 19th century as an example,the introduction of Western aestheticism inspired Japanese writers who were brave to express themselves and to convey the individual freedom began to create a unique oriental Japanese aestheticism with the theoretical and practice.That boosted the birth of the Japanese aesthetic writers such as Nagai Kafu,Satou Haruo,Tanizaki Junichiro and others.Needless to say,this trend of thought carried art and beauty imperceptibly rooted in the heart of literary youths who was studying in Japan at that time,and made noble influence.Yu Dafu was the famous one among them.Through a great deal of text reading and theoretical research,the author,adopting the research methodology of comparative literature,aims to explore that how Yu Dafu presents the aestheticism by the influence of Satou Haruo who always conveyed the aestheticism in his works.The main body of the article is divided into four chapters,namely acquaintance,imitation,differences and reasons.The author,firstly summarizes Yu Dafu's experience during the ten years when he was studying in Japan,including the process of getting acquainted with Satou Haruo and developing strong interest in his novels;secondly,presents Yu Dafu's imitating examples of emotional expression,image metaphor and aesthetic idea in Satou Haruo's novels with melancholy;and then analyzes Yu Dafu's textual reflections showing his different understanding in drawing inspiration from Japanese aesthetic ideas,and analyzes its deep reasons;at last,combining Satou Haruo and Yu Dafu's individual experience and background,summarizes the multiple reasons why Yu Dafu resonated with Satou Haruo underlying their differences,and makes a conclusion that as to the values and spiritual pursuit,Yu Dafu with his social consciousness view of "concerning the country and the people",had showed essential differences with Satou Haruo's individualism of "self-concern",and he finally got rid of the negative view of decadence of aestheticism,making a profound interpretation and connotation for melancholy.
