Study On Yu Dafu's Novels Under The Influence Of Japanese Private Novels

In the history of modern Chinese literature,Yu Dafu is a very important and unique pioneer.As a pioneer of "modern literature ",Yu Dafu's novels are influenced by many countries' literature,but an important factor leading to his unique style and form is Japanese private novels.Yu Dafu spent nearly ten years in Japan,personal melancholy temperament,time factors and Japanese study experience,Yu Dafu took the initiative to accept the main reasons for Japanese private novels.Yu Dafu's novels incorporate the spirit of "May 4th Movement ",the spirit of individual liberation,patriotism and the inherent mode of Chinese traditional novels into his own novel creation,thus creating the important shadow of modern Chinese literature Sound novel.The text is divided into four chapters.The first chapter mainly narrates the encounter between Yu Dafu and Japanese private novels.Japanese private novels are the product of the development of Japanese naturalistic literature,but they originated from the trend of naturalistic literature in France.The three Japanese private novels of "Breaking the Ring "," Quilt" by Tian Shan's flower bag and "Pastoral Melancholy" by Sato have great influence on Yu Dafu's novel style.The author generalizes four basic characteristics of Japanese private novels by reading the specific literary texts.After the Meiji Restoration,Japan's rise attracted intellectuals with a strong sense of responsibility and mission,such as Yu Dafu,to Japan to learn advanced western ideas.The second chapter is the main part of this thesis,which focuses on the analysis of the relationship between Japanese private novels and Dafu novels.Yu Dafu draws lessons from the four characteristics of Japanese private novel "self-narration ",bold self-exposure,sentimental decadent mood and prose structure,and combines Yu Dafu's " sink " and Sato Chunfu's " pastoral melancholy " to explain the formation process of Yu Dafu's self-fiction.In addition,Yu Dafu's novels transcend achieved the transcendence of Japanese private novels in the ideological connotation,no longer simply stuck to the description of the personal world,but more to show Yu Dafu's concern for social reality and the pursuit of the spirit of individual liberation in the way of "peeping into the big with small eyes ".The third chapter mainly expounds the reason why Yu Dafu fits with Japanese private novels.On the one hand,Yu Dafu's traditional Chinese scholar-official spirit and Chinese literary lyric tradition coincide with Japanese private novels.On the other hand,during the period of studying abroad in Japan,Yu Dafu experienced economic distress,national weakness and national discrimination,which is associated with the backward anxiety in modern China.It is this complex mixture of individual anxiety and national destiny that leads to his unique "Japanese experience ",thus affecting Yu Dafu's aesthetic experience and aesthetic emotion,and then directly determines Yu Dafu's encounter and recognition of the style of Japanese private novels.The fourth chapter mainly discusses the pioneering significance of Yu Dafu's novel creation.Yu Dafu's breakthrough in the mode of Chinese traditional novels has made Yu Dafu a pioneer in the history of modern Chinese literature;opened the "May 4th" literary romantic style of the first;in the ideological connotation of the realization of the transcendence of private novels,has profound social and contemporary significance;also made outstanding contributions to the cultural exchanges between China and Japan.
