Since the great success of Harry Potter in China,a great majority of readers have been embarked on searching for excellent English Children's Literature,making great contributions to the emergence of Children's Literature translation trend.Children's literature features picturesque plots,simple diction and grammar and animated description,therefore the translation should also reflect these features to meet the reading requirements of the recipients.The translator,with the features of the Children's Literature as the basis,Eugene A.Nida's Functional Equivalence as the guiding theory,In Between One Teen Two Cultures,the specific case,proposes solutions to the difficulties that may confront the Children's Literature translation practice,say,how to better reproduce the character by the adoption of Replacement and Conversion,how to compromise the lingual differences between source and target languages by the adoption of Rewriting and Omission,how to reflect the uniqueness of Children's literature by the adoption of Inversion,Division&Combination.Meanwhile,the translator hopes to better understand these translation skills and the Theory through case study.
