Flute is one of the most ancient instruments in China, which can perform the linearness of music quite well.Since the middle of 20 th century, flute has been out of the accompaniment for traditional Chinese opera and became the solo instrument in the arena, achieving a lot of solo works for the creation of folk arts.So far,the flute music has also gradually appeared many contemporary works concerning that theme. And right now, some composers create works by western composition with Chinese elements. However, some works does not meet the customary practice of Chinese bamboo flute language. How to combine these two things together properly to create the works most in accord with the bamboo flute language, and that's why I want to do some researches on this subject. With some professional knowledge,I want to analyze and study the two representative works of Mr.Zhang Weiliang---Hua Qi(Weeping of the Flowers),Yao He(Crying Out)--in detail.Whether the musical composition meets the instrumental language or not,and its intrinsic value has close relationship with the sustainable development of bamboo flue music. After checking some relative resources,I found that the researches about these questions are still lacking. Therefore,I decide to study in these points: the development courses of Chinese and western bamboo music, the composition, elements, melodies, the methods for the limits of the range, the flutes performances, humanistic thoughts, aesthetic values, and its values in the bamboo subject of the successful cases.I hope to make some valuable and perspective conclusions and provide some beneficial assistance for the development of flute music.
