Investigation And Research On Qingming Customs In Linxian

Qingming Festival is the only one of the twenty-four solar terms in our country,which has a long history.Different regions show different Qingming customs.The Qingming customs is unique in Linxian,Shanxi Province.Its rich festival activities and diet custom reflects the local people's folk psychology and the festive feelings.Based on the first-hand information obtained by the field survey,compilation of historical documents and related data,the thesis makes research on Customs of Qingming in LinxianCounty,aims to explore the local origin of the Qingming festival and customs,the characteristic and connotation of the custom,digs behind the ideas and cultural feelings,thinks of the development and changes,and puts forward some proposals for its orderly succession.The main body of this paper text consists of three parts:introduction,main body and conclusion,which was summarized as follows:The introduction mainly expounds the source of the selected topic,the purpose and significance of the research,summarizes the previous studies,clarify the main contents and research methods of this paper.The main body is divided into four chapters.Starting with human geography,history and the basic situation of the investigation point of view,the first chapter mainly summarizes of the formation on shaping customs of Qingming in Linxian from cultural ecology.Combining the origin on customs of Qingming in Linxian with the research materials and related literature,the second chapter mainly explains the connotation and the symbolic meaning of the festival customs through the "deep description" of the local Qingming activities and diet customs.In the third chapter,beginning with folk beliefs,from the aspects of Qingming sacrifice,ancestor worship,witchcraft thinking and related taboos,the author analyzes the folk belief culture carried out by the local Qingming customs.Summarizing the development and variation of Qingming customs in Linxian.The fourth chapter summarizes the variation of the Qingming customs in Linxian,and makes a consideration on its changes and trends from the field.The conclusion is the summary of the whole paper.Through the study on customs of Qingming in Linxian,this thesis draws some of the following conclusions.Firstly,Qingming customs in Linxian originated from the cold food festival,and Cold food custom is related to the system of banning on fire in Zhou Dynasty.The view that the cold food festival is hold up to commemorate Jie Zitui,a famous minister in Jin Dynasty,may not be historical facts.It should be related to the needs of governance and cultural reconstruction.Secondly,Qingming activities and diet is the main customs of Qingming Festival in Linxian.Grave,swing,wearing baiye is the main activities.Pinching Yan Yan,eating snake,paste fried,raw bean sprouts are the main diet in Qingming.Different Qingming activities with its diet are given in different meanings.Thirdly,Qingming customs of Linxian contains the local people's deep thought and cultural beliefs.Lastly,The changes of the customs of Qingming in Linxian are affected by the local social living environment and the local people 's ideological concept.
