A Comparative Study Of Xiao Youmei’s And Kodaly’s Thoughts On Music Education

The paper,as Xiao Youmei,a pioneer in chinese modern music education and founder of professional music education,and Kodaly,a Hungarian national musician and educator the research object,reflects,from demonstrating,analyzing and comparing their thought of music education,the valuable in the field of their national music education,which currently have the referential significance of chinese music education.This paper is divided into the following five parts:The first part is "introduction",which introduces this subject source purpose and significance,the research status of related area and the main research methods.The second part is "the research of Xiao Youmei’s music education thoughts",which firstly introduces its background,and then illustrates its connotation,such as“Chinese learning as principal part,Western learning as auxiliary” and “the optimization of educational resource”.The third part is "the research of Kodaly music education thoughts",which firstly introduces its background,and then illustrates its connotation,such as “the national music education philosophy” and “the whole people education philosophy”.The fourth part is the core of this paper,which mainly analyze the similarities and differences between "Xiao Youmei’s music education thoughts" and "Kodaly music education thoughts",and reveal the splendor of their thoughts for reference.The fifth part is the conclusion,which extend to the valuable referential theory for us in the analysis of similarities and differences of their thoughts,in order to provide a useful reference for future construction and development of chineses music education system.
