The Investigation And Cognitive Analysis On The Not A Single Syllabic Male Words In Modern Chinese Dictionary(Sixth Edition)

Modern Chinese Dictionary(sixth edition),compiled by Dictionary Editorial Office of Language Institute in the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences,was officially published by the Commercial Press in July 2012.Once published,it has caused wide public attention,and attracts a large number of experts and scholars to go on research.This thesis investigates and analyses 734 disyllabic and polysyllabic male words in Modern Chinese Dictionary(sixth edition)by taking retrieval method,classification and induction method,measuring method and comparative method.And this thesis analyses from the aspects of word formation,semantic classification and cognitive pattern of male words in detail.The thesis is divided into five parts:The first part is inntroduction,it mainly introduces the selected topic basis,research situation of this topic,research purpose and significance,research methods,the definition and selection of male words and the determination of corpus and finishing.Chapter One analyses the structure type of disyllabic and polysyllabic male words in Modern Chinese Dictionary(sixth edition)from the perspective of syntax and rhetoric;Syntactic formation consists of two parts:syllabic distribution and characteristics and Morpheme synthesis methods and characteristics of disyllabic and polysyllabic male words in modern Chinese dictionary(sixth edition);In the rhetorical formation,it is analyzed mainly from three aspects: the word formation method,the borrowing method and the indirect method.Chapter Two classifies the disyllabic and polysyllabic male words in Modern Chinese Dictionary(sixth edition)from the perspective of semantic,and analyses its rational meaning,color meaning and grammatical meaning.Chapter Three on the basis of structure analysis and semantic analysis,the author from the perspective of cognition,using the method of combination of theory and examples,explores the people in the process of the cognition of male,are applied to specific cognitive pattern,proposition,image schema,metaphor and metonymy model,and analysis and research them in detail and to reveal the importantance of the cognitive pattern in the cognitive process of people.Secondly,the author from the perspective of cognitive function,according to the two functions of disyllabic and polysyllabic male words in Modern Chinese Dictionary(sixth edition),reflect the culture and inheriting culture,and analyzes the cultural cognitive function of male words in detail.The last part is Conclusion,and it summarizes conclusion of this thesis,and points out the innovation and shortcomings of the research,and puts forward Suggestions for further study.
