The present study investigated the relationship between perceived school climate and adolescents' Learning engagement,and the mediating effect of academic self-efficacy.The perceived school climate scale,academic self-efficacy scale and learning engagement scale-student were administered to 809 adolescents from junior middle school in Guangxi province.The results indicated that:1.Adolescents' perceived school climate was above the middle-class,the difference of students 'gender and grade in perceived school climate was significant.the difference of junior middle school students 'gender and academic self-efficacy was significant;the difference of junior middle school students 'grade and academic self-efficacy was significant.The students of 7 grade and 8 grade were higher than the students of 9 grade in academic self-efficacy.Adolescents' learning engagement was above the middle-class,the difference of students 'gender and grade in learning engagement were significant.The students of 7 grade and 8 grade were higher than the students of 9 grade in learning engagement.2.school climate perceptions could be classified into three types:intimate,average and stress.The difference of students types in learning engagement were significant.The learning engagement was the best in the intimate type.The average type was higher than the stress type in absorption.3.There was a significant positive correlation between Adolescents' perceived school climate and learning engagement,and it was also between Adolescents' perceived school climate and academic self-efficacy.Academic self-efficacy and learning engagement were significantly positively correlated.4.Perceived school climate positively predicted learning engagement.The relationship between perceived school climate and learning engagement was partially mediated by academic self-efficacy.
