Throughout the development of Chinese cultural,we can find that the evolution of the aesthetic concept and Chinese painters in the change of painting way has a close relationship. The main turning of the Chinese painting point is the development of Chinese ideology, culture and the theory of art.The process of turning from fine brushwork to the freehand reflects the aesthetic concept of Chinese painting. In the concept of aesthetic theory, the two categories of "form" and "meaning" are two independent individuals. With the combination of "form" and "meaning",until "artistic conception" generated,it sends Chinese cultural thought to the outside of the image. In the Chinese painting, from "form" and "meaning" to "shape" and "spirit","shape" and "spirit" reflection "form" and "meaning",lays the ideological foundation for the later development of Chinese painting from "image" to "picture"."Shape" and "spirit" are interdependence and also mutual penetration, complement to each other. In order to achieve the perfect "shape",China's early aesthetic concept of the pursuit of "realistic" form.Shape is the outer form of spirit and spirit is the soul of the shape."Shape" and "spirit" have different emphasis in different periods. From the beginning, people stress "shape" to show the "spirit" and then it turns to "shape" and "spirit" having the same status. The last stage is people put the spirit of painting in the first place. This kind of "shape" and "spirit" displacement of the phenomenon to promote the development of Chinese painting from the fine brushwork to the freehand aesthetic perception. In the stylized development of Chinese painting ' s performance,it shows the two new aesthetic features "form" and "symbol"."Line" and "point" promote the form of painting moving towards "schema" and symbolic language promotes the "image" to the "picture".These changes are results of development of Chinese culture and reflect the transformation of functions inthe work. After these developments,Chinese painting is more like a toll to show the feeling of the individuals. The ultimate result of the evolution of the traditional aesthetic concept of Chinese painting is that Chinese painting turns from fine brushwork to freehand brushwork.which is from the community to the individual, from the external to the internal, from the relentless to the emotional.Fine brushwork is the reflection of the constraint rational and freehand brushwork is the expression of perceptual. The two forms of expression show the improvement of people self-awareness.
