The Shape’s Evolution、craft And Artistic Characteristics Of The Chicken-head Pot Of Deqing Kiln

The Chicken-head pot is the typical artifact of Deqing kiln,this article through the Dongjin to Sui period of Deqing kiln chicken-head pot of the relevant literature,unearthed data collection and carding,visits the Deqing kiln site to explore the Deqing kiln chicken-head pot’s original name history for where it came from.It is emphasized that the development period of the neck and the shoulder which should start from dish-shaped mouth and straight neck,then it came to the trumpet-shaped neck and the sloping shoulder,finally,it came to the straight mouth and the long belly in the end,it summed up the process of tanning glaze,The combination of throwing,mold forming and kneading process,Long kiln,kiln furniture and high temperature firing of the three process characteristics.It is concluded that the Chicken-head pot of Deqing Kiln is a fusion of practicality and aesthetics,and its lyrical humanistic imagery is worthy of being considered by contemporary pottery makers.
