Protection And Development Of Chengcheng Yao Head Kiln Sites

Sites of ancient culture is the important component of national historical and cultural heritage. The Yaotou kiln site, located in Chengcheng city of shanxi province, has a long history of producing civil chinaware, it’s really an important kiln site with grand scale and unique style. The site preserves more than30ancient kilns witch period from the Yuan, Ming, Qing dynasty to the republic of China’s, with a total area of about4square kilometers, is one of the most complete ancient site in China.The existence of Yaotou kiln site has important significance to the study of the history, inheritance and development of Chinese ancient northern folk kilns, and It’s also has very high historical, artistic and scientific research value. But because of many reasons, the material remaining of Yaotou kiln site is in danger of destruction situation now, and its traditional porcelain making craft is faced with the threat of death. In order to protect the porcelain making craft of Yaotou kiln site, save the relevant cultural ecology and traditional folk and promote sustainable development and various undertakings for the protection of cultural relics of the site area at the same time, I think it is necessary to study how to protect it first.Survey method, document analysis, statistic analysis, and Analysis&Synthesis are the four methods that I used in writing this paper. This systematic study and in-depth study of Yaotou kiln site aims at putting forward a scientific and suitable protection and development plan of the material cultural heritage and intangible cultural heritage.
