In figurative painting,character body language is an important carrier of painter and audience exchange.In this paper,I selected some of the middle and late works of the typical characters in Balthus ',from both content and form unfold,through the image comparison analysis and case analysis method to explores the creative intentions and aesthetic taste reflected in the characters' then recognize the highly refined characters of the body image is the artist's emotions and ideas of externalization,this subjective treatment paves the way for the deepening ideological content of the works.From the perspective of the modeling characters of the human body,the characters in the middle and late works of Balthus have similarities with the Ancient Greek period sculptures,“Medieval”and “Renaissance”early religious themes of painting and sculpture.From the perspective of the expression of the body language,the expression of the body language in the late Barthes is the result of the profound influence of Augustine of Hippo's religious theology.The painter through the characters in the body to expresses his thoughts on the time of his life.It's harmony of faith and reason.
