Stephen Chow left a significant chapter in the comedy film history by his unique deductive style,which has been the vane of the youth developed culture.Its marked laughter, mumble disconnected phrases of illogical grammar and classic examples of dialogue lines that has became a paradigm for teenagers ,carrying a generation of the green years and beautiful memories.This paper combines "half tang's" culture circumstances of HK and the infiltration of the Ling Nan culture on Stephen Chow's comedy movies,from the folk standpoint,the perspective of folklore to explore the Chow's comedy movies is how to put the folk customs on the screen to deduce the relationship of film art and folk culture.The fist part of paper is to trace to the source of two key words "da hua" and "wu litou",which are the two core characteristics to constitute Chow's funny films.So only by fully understanding the ins and outs of "da hua" and "wu litou",We can analyze and explore the deep connotation of Chow's comedy movies.Secondly, "da hua" as a paradigm of folk narrative, which correspond to each other in the source,survival mechanism and transference function.The entertainment,educational of'wu litou''is similar to folk games.Moreover,Chow's comedy films in the crazy deconstruction of the traditional classical keynote,but also to inherit and construct more authentic ideology culture and value concept. The second part mainly analyzes the narrative mode of Chow's comedy movies,based on the two narrative modes of myth and boast.Analyzing the characteristics of the two and the hidden folklore narrative behind the "still round"consciousness and the child's game perspective placed by the people of their own compensatory psychology and break the demands of social regulation.The third part analyzes the folklore elements of Chow's comedy film through the specific film, and starts with the dimension of life etiquette, and from the elements of love throughout the movie, we can find that Stephen Chow has a good attachment to marriage or love.Secondly, Stephen Chow does not rigidly adhere to the traditional concept of love and marriage, but blaze a new trail to seek a different expression. Third, Chow's comedy film carries on the subversion to the folk general knowledge or the idea , or selectively to carry on the boast and even the deification, clings the vulgar world to obtain the comedy effect, only innocence is not deconstructed which is beyond the earthly touch of the holy human nature warm. The concluding part of the paper summarizes the whole text and emphasizes the importance of folk culture in Stephen Chow comedy film, which is worthy of further study.
