The theme of this paper is about the present corporate image design of the catering industry, through the analysis of previous research and data, first of all, learn the problems and trend of the catering industryfrom the research status of the catering industry. With the change of the national consumption policy,and the fierce competition in the catering industry at home and abroad, the structure of catering industry has changed. Public catering becomes more and more popular, Segmentation of the market makes the restaurants which is the core of single product appreciated. Then analysis the present situation of the catering industry under the new economic era of visual image design, found problems of the visual imageofthe catering industry, including the fuzzy of visual image design of concept, the corporate logo design and visual design and visual design equivalent,catering more and more mechanical and stylized,lack of personality .The works are monotonous and lack of personality because of the lack of in-depth investigation of the catering enterprise culture and application of visual elements during the design process. As well as execution should be strengthened. The rapid development of economy makes people become more and more rich, people's requirements are not only stay in the food and clothing, began to pursue the spiritual satisfaction. As a result,VI design and dining space combine more closely. The cultural connotation of catering want to convey has been concernedgradually.lt includes two aspects: diet culture and enterprise culture. We should realize the effective combination of food culture and brand building. Only in this way can we create a unique catering brand image. The development of the network also changes business form of the catering industry. The popularity of network catering changes the impression of catering visual imagedesign,too. The emergence of new media breaks the static mode of enterprise image communication, which requires us to consider the possibility of multimedia application at the beginning of the design. Finally, according to the above analysis, we should work out a series of countermeasures and design unique brand image that is native and suitabled for new media communication, this is the meaning of this research.
