Qingyang dialect is the writer's hometown dialect and it belongs to the Mandarin of Jianghuai of southern Anhui Province which is in the Yangtze-Huai River area.In this dialect area, all dialects are similar with official language in phonetic forms but are different with modern mandarin in grammar. The formation of these grammatical phenomena was not developed individually and we believe it was influenced by the dialects in the nearby areas. From the study of historical origin of Qingyang dialect,Qingyang County used to belong to Wu Chinese area and due to wars and natural disasters in the beginning of Qing dynasty, there were a few large-scaled immigrations.During that time,Qingyang dialect was influenced from the Yangtze-Huai River area official language from the north.Because the native-language speakers in Qingyang County did not have advantages in population and economy at that time, thus the original Wu Chinses was replaced by Yangtze-Huai River area dialect and lead to the dominance of Yangtze-Huai dialect in Qingyang County.Meanwhile, some grammatical components as the foundation of the language were kept in Qingyang dialect, hence we can find some similar expressions as Wu Chinses in Qingyang dialect while those expressions do not belong to official language. This thesis mainly takes the perfect aspect, progressive aspect and durative aspect as research target, thoroughly describes and analyzes the above-mentioned three aspects from the perspectives of grammatical structure, type of verbs in collocation and auxiliary word, and makes comparison with the perfect aspect, progressive aspect and durative aspect in modern mandarin so that finally the characteristics of Qingyang dialect expressions can be summed up.Based on the research carried out before,on one hand, this thesis studies about the historical origin of aspect-auxiliary words. On the other hand, through the comparisons of similarities and differences of perfect aspect, progressive aspect and durative aspect in Qingyang dialect,Mandarin of Jianghuai and Wu Chinese, this thesis attempts to analyze the origin of the above-mentioned aspects in Qingyang dialect from the perspective of language contact and to reach to the conclusion of tropism.
